There was already somebody with the same name so I was on the bus looking through Smash Hits and I saw Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys and I thought that would be a good name. How can I meet David?

David does occasionally appear as a guest on television shows or at special events. These will be advertised on David-Tennant.com as soon as we hear about them.

Going to see David at an event does not mean that you are guaranteed to meet him and we would urge anyone who does go along and would like an autograph or photo from him to be polite and courteous and to respect David's time and privacy. If you are lucky enough to get to see David 'in the flesh' at an event, try to enjoy your day for the event itself rather than the possibility of meeting David. He's a very popular man, and there are always lots of people who'd like to meet him - so don't be too disappointed if you don't get your chance.

When will David leave Doctor Who?

Quoth the man himself:

“I haven’t hinted anything to anybody. I’m very careful about not hinting anything ever, because from the moment I accepted this job, it was, ‘When are you leaving?’ A boy could get a complex.”

David has stated that there will be 4 Doctor Who specials in 2009 which he will be involved in.
