Doctor Who
David has already starred as the Doctor in Series Two of Doctor Who alongside Billie Piper as Rose Tyler.
He has picked up an armfull of awards for his portrayal of the Time Lord and is currently being seen across the UK in
Series Three with his new co star Freema Agyeman as the Doctor's new companion, Martha Jones.
Secret Smile
David's portrayal as the psychotic boyfriend from hell, Brendan Block, in the TV adaptation of the Nicci French novel
Secret Smile sent shivers down the spines of his fans when it was broadcast on ITV1 in December 2005. His evil stalking of
girlfriend Miranda, played by Kate Ashfield, earned him a nomination for the BBC TV Moment Of The Year.
Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire
David hit the big screen in November 2005 as Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. Trying to kill Harry
Potter probably isn't the best way to make friends and influence people, but it certainly didn't seem to do David
any harm...
Casanova
He won the hearts of women everywhere in his role as legendary lover, Casanova.
After it's phenomenol success on BBC Three, attracting record numbers of viewers for the channel, the BBC showed Casanova
on it's flagship channel BBC One. This resulted in David winning critical acclaim for his role and legions of new fans!
He Knew He Was Right
He Knew He Was Right was also a huge success, but his character had the opposite effect when he played the slimy Reverend
Gibson. The drama also starred Bill Nighy.
Blackpool
November 2004 is probably the time when most people's attention was first drawn to David.
As DI Carlisle in Blackpool, he tried to frame Ripley Holden (David Morrissey) for murder so he could steal his wife,
Natalie (Sarah Parish).
The musical drama was so successful for the BBC that it has since been shown in the USA and Australia! And it has
recieved numerous nominations at prestigious awards ceremonies such as The BAFTAs, The Golden Globes and The Broadcast
Awards.
Other notable roles for David have included The Quatermass Experiment and one of his earliest roles on TV was Campbell
in the acclaimed series Takin' Over The Asylum alongside Ken Stott.
David has done loads of work on the stage, including roles with prestigous companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company
and the National Theatre.
He was nominated for an Olivier Award for the role of Jeff in Lobby Hero at the Donmar.
