The Quatermass Experiment

In April 2004 David took part in a remake of the 1950's cult show The Quatermass Experiment. He played the role of Dr Briscoe.  It was performed and broadcast live on BBC Four, just as the original was broadcast live. It was slightly updated from the original series but most of Nigel Kneale's original dialogue, and the plot itself, remained the same.
An astronaut is infected by an alien pathogen during a space mission, of which he is the only survivor. Gradually he mutates into an hideous creature that absorbs the lifeforce of humans, and must be stopped by the space scientist who designed his spacecraft, and sent him to his doom, Professor Bernard Quatermass.
