David Tennant in Secret Smile

Autumn 2005 saw David Tennant taking on the role of psychotic stalker Brendan Block in an ITV two part dramatisation of the Nicci French novel, Secret Smile.

Miranda Cotton begins an affair with self-styled entrepreneur, Brendan. She soon finds his clingy behaviour unsettling and ends the relationship, but seems reluctant to let go. When her sister introduces him as her new boyfriend, alarm bells start to ring for Miranda.
