David has had a varied film career which has included Hollywood movies and short British films. In this section you can discover more about his film work...
Roles have included that of Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire and a lead in the cult classic LA Without A Map.
David has recently returned to film work and had two notable movie roles in late 2009 including an appearance in the highly anticipated Stephen Poliakoff film Glorious 39 and a leading part in the new British comedy St Trinian's II: The Legend Of Fritton's Gold.
He also reprised his award winning, critically acclaimed role of Hamlet for a Royal Shakespeare Company film which was screened on UK television at the end of 2009 and released on DVD in January 2010 and aired in the USA on PBS' Great Performances in April 2010.
In March 2010 How To Train Your Dragon, a Dreamworks animation featuring David's vocal talents, was released globally.

David has voiced the character Spitelout in the new movie verison of Cressida Cowell's How To Train Your Dragon.
It will be released in Australia on 25th March 2010, the USA on 26th March 2010 and in the UK on 31st March 2010.

David has been cast in a new Hollywood remake of Fright Night. He will be taking on the role of Peter Vincent, a Las Vegas magician who claims to possess expert knowledge of vampires. The film will be made by Dreamworks and distributed through Disney. Filming is due to begin next month.
 
Details of one of David's latest film projects, Decoy Bride, was announced at the Cannes Film Festival.
He will be taking on the role of James in a new romantic comedy set in Scotand. The film will also star Kelly MacDonald and Alice Eve.

Thandie Newton, Jason Isaacs and David Tennant are attached to star in Magnet Films’ psychological thriller Retreat.
The film, to be directed by newcomer Carl Tibbetts, follows a couple (played by Newton and Isaacs) who are seeking to rebuild their relationship by taking time out on a remote island but their peace is shattered when they find a man in military uniform (Tennant) half-dead on their doorstep who tells them there is a lethal virus killing millions on the mainland.
